Tim Tebow and the Power of Prayer
Asking for help for the right reasons brings results.
There was a science experiment conducted once, with a group of sick people being prayed for and a control group that wasn’t being prayed for. The people praying were healers of all faiths, given only the name and picture of the people they were praying for. The experiment was documented in the book The Field – The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe. The end result? The people being prayed for were healed more than control group that was not prayed for.
I have seen the wikipedia page on the results of this type of healing prayer, which says “intercessory prayer” is not a repeatable phenomena. I also know that the intention of the people running the experiment matters. If they want it to fail, if they set the people praying in an uncomfortable environment, or pick people without focused intentions, the experiment is more likely to fail. This is the power of intention. Your intentions matter. And when you pray, begging the Creator for help for all the right reasons, with a clear mind, you see results.
Tim Tebow knows there is a higher power. He has seen the effect of prayer is his own life. So have I. In Florida, my home state, where hurricane season was an annual terror, we have seen no hurricanes for the last six years. The reason? While scientists have no explanation for why their predictions of extremely active hurricane seasons were wrong, the people in the Zohar Project know exactly why we have seen every hurricane that approached Florida for the last six years dissipate, turn away, or turn into a tropical storm bringing much needed rain. For six years, the Miami Zohar Project has been blanketing the coast of Florida with The Zohar with the intention of preventing the destruction and loss of life previously caused by hurricanes. So what the heck is the Zohar?
The Zohar is more than just the decoding of the “Old Testament” a.k.a. The Five Books of Moses in Aramaic. It is the revelation of the Light of the Creator. The first time I opened it and looked at the letters, I felt something I had never felt before. An awareness, a connection. Looking at the Aramaic letters of the Zohar and begging for help to change from the Creator brings Light, meaning consciousness, and often times healing, or sustenance, or others blessings that you or people around you need. Scanning the Zohar is like praying with power tools.
People ask, if prayer works, why can’t the starving people in Africa pray for food? From the little I know, I can tell you that the Light is like electricity. If you’re sitting in a dark room asking for the Light to turn on, you might need to get up and turn on the power switch. So you have to take action along with your requests. You also have to break your ego, and desire to become a better person, a channel for the Light. You have to want to accomplish things not for your own sake, but the sake of helping others, and revealing the Light of the Creator. No one on this planet is a victim. If people are suffering, that can be the result of their past actions, whether in this life time or another, and the suffering is a cleansing to bring them closer to reality. The reality is, we need to break our selfish desire for the self alone, and we need the help of the Creator to do it. Fortunately, the Creator is a part of each and every one of us. All you have do to is look inside yourself.
