The State of Ron Paul’s Campaign
Ron Paul is “losing” the caucuses but winning the delegate race
The voting percentages mean nothing. The winner of the Republican primary will be the candidate with the most delegates at the Republican Convention, held in Tampa from August 27 to August 30.
What’s normally reported in the media is “Santorum/Romney wins with 40% of the votes.” What’s not reported is in most states, the votes reported have nothing to do with the delegates picked. That’s why Ron Paul may in fact be in the lead in delegates. As Rachel Maddow reports, the delegates are voted on separately, and Ron Paul supporters are going the extra mile to earn these delegate spots.

The caucus election, or “beauty contest” as Paul’s campaign advisor puts it, does not count toward electing the Republican nominee for President in most states. However, Ron Paul may well be the real winner in the beauty contest as well. While the election fraud in Maine’s primary has been widely reported, Alex Jones is reporting that the precincts voting heaviest for Ron Paul in Iowa and Nevada simply weren’t counted.
The bottom line: Ron Paul is winning despite being marginalized by the media and more than likely cheated by some of the people counting the votes.
